Getting High Without the Smoke

A Kush 21 Guide to Getting High Without the Smoke

By Macey Wolfer

Whether it’s the concerns surrounding COVID-19 or just a desire to try something new, many people are wondering how to get high without smoking lately. Considering the coronavirus primarily affects the respiratory system, those looking to improve their lung health are reasonably turning to smokeless alternatives.

And they can be pretty fun too!

We’ve thrown together some of our favorite products for getting high without any combustion.

Edibles are versatile and can be paired with many activities

There are many options to choose from at our Seatac dispensary. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, we’ve got you covered with many types of candies to satisfy whatever you’re craving.

We recommend binging TV shows while snacking on a Green Revolution Doozie, which is a tasty and sweet fruit chew. Doozies are vegan and come in several flavors and levels of potency. Don’t get carried away eating them, though! They will certainly catch up to you so take it slow.

More of the chocolate type? We’ve got plenty of infused chocolate as well. Give Swifts mint truffles a try if you’re looking for something sweet and refreshing. We like their mint hybrid truffles because they have a small amount of THC with even more CBD. This produces a very mild, calm effect.

If you’ve got a yard or porch to soak up some of this summer sunshine (on the lucky Washington days), we recommend reaching for a cannabis soda. Blaze Moscow Mule is a nostalgia-inducing, delicious soda that is sure to elevate your days. Try sitting outside in the sun with a good book or crossword puzzle and a Blaze soda. You can’t go wrong.

Tinctures and capsules

Edibles are a great way to get high. They’re often delicious, potent, and take effect over time. Not all of us like the wait or uncertainty involved with edibles though. If you’ve ever eaten too many or not enough edibles, you know what we mean. It can be tough to dose if you’re not an avid edible consumer.

Tinctures and capsules are a great way to bypass this problem. It’s important to keep in mind that capsules will take about the same amount of time as edibles to kick in. They’ll be dosed out exactly though, and you won’t have to estimate your dose based on how many bites or sips you take.

Tinctures, on the other hand, can take effect much quicker. Because they bypass the digestive system, they can take effect within the first 15 minutes of consumption.

We like the Double Delicious 4:1 capsules to relax and unwind with. There’s no guesswork involved and they’re super easy to take.

For tinctures, we love the Fairwinds Release tincture. It’s well balanced with 20 mg of THC and 90 mg of CBD. If you’re looking to relax and unwind while maintaining a clear mindset, it’s a great option.

If you want more of the intoxicating effects of cannabis, you’ll want a tincture with more THC. We recommend Sinners and Saints Island Time Lemonade tincture shots. With 100mg THC and tastes just like lemonade!

Tinctures are great because you can accurately dose and effects come on quickly. Just drop the tincture under your tongue for 60 seconds, swallow, and wait.

Final thoughts

Maybe you’re trying to reduce the amount of smoke you take in, or you just want to switch up your usual method of consumption. Whatever the case, we’ve got options at our Seatac dispensary.

Edibles are fun and versatile and can be included in many different activities. Tinctures and capsules allow you to get your dose without much effort at all.

All options are great for getting the job done! Let us know what your favorite smoke-free way to get high is.
