Summer is coming to a close in Seattle, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of time to enjoy some of these fabulous patios. We’ve put together a list of great patios to make sure you hit them all before the gloom of Seattle winter comes.

The Smith Tower is an architectural and historical gem for Seattle that is typically used for business and offices, so the public is usually unable to enjoy the building’s beauty. This summer, the Smith Tower is putting up a Popup restaurant on it’s Rooftop! Talk about getting one of the best views of the Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The Lookout restaurant will be open on the evenings and for brunch and happy hours over the weekends.
JERK SHACK
Feel like you’re back on vacation when you come to this Caribbean restaurant in the heart of Belltown. And if you like anything jerk, Jerk Shack’s menu is full of jerk flavored specialties such as mac n’ cheese, jerk smoked ribs, and jerk fried chicken. Grab a rum-filled cocktail and find yourself a spot on the fenced patio, dubbed an urban oasis patio, at the back of the and let the reggae induced island vibes take you to the tropics.
MBAR
Another fantastic rooftop spot with views you cannot find anywhere else! Located on the 14th floor in South Lake Union, Mbar has the city and natural views to impress locals and travelers alike. The dinner menu is middle eastern fusion with a Mediterranian twist. Patio menu is meant for sharing with your table and cleverly crafted cocktails to bring summer to your tastebuds. Come for happy hour and stay for breathtaking sunsets with the Olympic Mountains in the background, or come around twilight to see the city lights come to life. Getting a little chilly? Not to worry, the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows to enjoy views year-round.
TERRA PLATA
Looking for a perfect brunch spot? Look no further than Terra Plata of Melrose Square in Capitol Hill. This restaurant is all about seasonal ingredients using local growers and artisan producers for their dishes. Their name Terra Plata, meaning “earth to plate,” encompasses their goal with using the best local ingredients around. The rooftop patio is even surrounded by edible gardens! Terra Plata’s rooftop view looks down Pike Street for a bird’s eye view of Pike Street Market and Elliot Bay, and if you’re there on becoming a more rare sunny fall day, you could catch a glimpse of the Olympic Mountains. KING’S HARDWARE
If you’re looking for a more low-key patio experience, King’s Hardware in Ballard neighborhood provides the right amount of modern yet old school rustic charm. With exposed brick walls and worn wooden booths, this old Hardware Store is transformed to a place where you can hang with your friends for hours. The patio is booming with music that can be chosen from the old school Jukebox, and an outside bar where the happy hour special is a steal. Grab a pitcher of Olympia Beer with your pals for just $7 and chase sober up with some cheap eats specials that change daily or a delicious Backyard Burger for just $7. Be warned, with deals this good, it gets packed on the weekends, so lean on towards the early side of happy hour for a spot on the patio or outdoor bar.
