Keep in mind you can get a variety of experiences from these mojitos depending on which way you choose to go. THC-infused mojitos will give you the intoxicating effects of the tincture, CBD-infused will give you relaxation but no intoxicating effects and a tincture with a mixed ratio of CBD and THC will be calmer with a bit of intoxicating effects.
This mojito recipe does not include alcohol, but you can add some rum if you’d like. Just remember to consume responsibly, especially when mixing cannabis and alcohol.
THC/CBD Mojitos Recipe:
Cannabis mojito ingredients:
- 1-2 drops of your preferred tincture (CBD, THC, or mixed)
- 10-15 leaves of fresh mint
- 1-2 teaspoons of sugar or simple syrup
- ½ cup club soda
- 4-5 teaspoons of lime juice
- Ice cubs
Cannabis mojito steps
Start by muddling the mint using a mortar and pestle, a cocktail muddler, or just a wooden spoon. You can set a few leaves aside as a garnish, or just mash the whole set for an extra refreshing flavor.
Add the crushed mint to a cocktail glass. Add soda water, lime juice, and tincture to the glass and stir well. Serve with ice cubes and lime wedges/mint as garnishes if you’d like.
Considerations for cannabis or CBD mojitos
Again, there are many ways you can take this recipe to cultivate your own unique experience. Sometimes people want a cool and refreshing drink but don’t want it to be intoxicating. Rather than going for water, using a CBD tincture can add an extra level of satisfaction with a bit of relaxation.
Others may want to participate in the act of drinking socially with friends or as a ritual after work, but don’t want to actually consume alcohol. A THC-infused tincture mixed with other refreshing ingredients is a great way to both relax and uplift. The effects can take up to an hour to come in, so be sure to drink THC-infused mojitos slowly to avoid getting too high.
Tinctures with both CBD and THC are great for someone who wants to unwind, relax, and get a little bit intoxicated without getting too high. It’s a great in-between place for users who like the THC high, but don’t want potentially overwhelming effects from it.
