The dahlia experience
August 21st, 2021
Looking to spend the weekend dancing and grooving? You can do just that while also helping to raise money for charity at The Dahlia Experience. Put on by Grooving for Good and Popgang Records, this event started off as a fundraiser live stream for ASW’s “The Dahlia EP,” raising money for Crisis Text Line. This event is now taking place in-person for the first time on Saturday, August 21st at 10 pm at The Underground in Seattle. Other performers include Chloe Harris, aJaX, Chloe Harris, and Julie Herrera. You can find tickets here.
Classic Hip-Hop Night
Nowadays if you head to the club you’re likely going to find EDM, top-40, or modern-day hip-hop. Chances are you aren’t going to hear much, if any, old-school hip-hop in the clubs these days. But Friday, August 27th at the Nectar Lounge, Bombhiphop.com is hosting a night of pure classic hip-hop. DJ Dave Paul, a prominent name in hip-hop and DJ culture, is bringing a funky and unforgettable set to Seattle. You can find tickets here.
Day In Day Out
Don’t have plans for Labor Day Weekend yet? Spend the holiday listening to live music and eating from the city’s best food trucks at Day In Day Out Festival. This 2-day festival is celebrating its first year in the heart of Seattle at Fisher Green Pavilion on September 4th through 5th. For being the first year, Day In Day Out holds a solid lineup. Attendees will be able to catch performances from Aminé, Kaytranada, CHVRCHES, Blu DeTiger, STRFKR, and more. For tickets and more information visit their website.
Sublime with rome and the soul rebels at washington state fair
Soak in some reggae for the soul to wrap up your summer. Sublime with Rome is headed to the Washington State Fair on September 18th with The Soul Rebels. Though the fair is about 35 miles outside of Seattle, it is well worth the trek. Included with the concert ticket is admission to the fair as well. Being one of the top 10 fairs in the whole country, there’s plenty to experience to make a full day out of it. For more information and tickets, visit the fair’s website.
